There are those who want to be as rich as possible but will happily let others wallow in poverty. The rich are the winners and the poor are the losers.
Executives in corporations decide how much they pay themselves and will pay themselves as much as they can possibly get away with. Who pays for it - the customers of the companies pay for it thus making everything more expensive it than it should be.
They are completely out for themselves and do not consider than their contribution to society is what is really important.
To them there is no appropriate amount of wealth - the more multiples of the average wage they receive the better. They do not consider that the money they spend on themselves - luxury cars and homes - could be better spent elsewhere on improving lives for others. What is a fair amount to get paid? Well if you can afford to buy yourself a new house every year you are paid too much.
They will rig the system to ensure that they get richer and the poor get poorer. They constantly lobby government to reduce taxes on the rich and cut welfare payments to the poor.
They are not interested in the poor because they don't think they could ever end up poor themselves. They seem oblivious to the fact that they could end up on the wrong side of the track one day - due to illness or addiction or the victim of crime.
Have a look at my Donald Trump article for more on this.
